They have been friends for 18 years. Despite living in different countries, they often fly to each other’s cities to meet up, have meals, shop, and chat. However, due to the pandemic, it’s been several years since they last saw each other.
I asked DeeDee, if she could remember only one thing about QQ, what would it be?
“It would be the time at the subway station when she held me quietly while I cried, giving me immense comfort and strength.”
I’ve slowly come to realize that all long-lasting and deep relationships seem to point in one direction: seeing beyond the facades people present to the world, appreciating their depth, admiring their strength, and accepting their vulnerabilities.
